Rick Edward

Rick is a highly experienced and passionate psychologist who divides his time between clinical practice, forensic assessment, supervision and leadership. He trained as a Psychologist in New York and moved to Boston in 2011. Rick has worked across private health sector, acquiring 20 years of experience as a psychologist. He is registered as a psychologist with the Massachusetts Psychologists Board.

Rick delivers a wide range of evidence-based treatments to adults and young people with emotional, behavioural, and adjustment challenges. Rick will work collaboratively and maintain a non-judgemental stance to address your therapy goals and will use an approach that meets your specific needs. He can support clients experiencing life difficulties including, stress, depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, and trauma.

Rick takes an eclectic approach to his therapy and draws from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and is also trained in EMDR and Schema Therapy. He seeks to support an understanding of how patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours have developed and looks for more adaptive ways of coping. Rick shows compassion and warmth with his clients as they begin to address issues that will help them to improve their quality of life and reach their goals.
